The Date Shed, formerly a building used as a refrigerated repository for the sweet fruit harvested on the property for more than 50 years, has been redesigned to be a hip, live music venue.
The industrial transformation from a cinder block structure into a high-tech, minimalist lounge and club with all the requisite accoutrements. Inside, The Date Shed features lounge space, a full-service bar, a DJ booth for turntablists to drop plenty of phat beats, and a professional grade stage for live music. With a capacity for, The Date Shed’s party and club space can be scaled for smaller, more intimate groups, or an all out, all night rave-a-thon. And when the backbeat winds down or the band takes a break, respite can be found outdoors on the covered patio for chilling out with friends near the garden.
The modern club features darkroom black walls that form a high-contrast backdrop for a unique photographic collection of famous musicians and artists that have performed at past Coachella Music and Art Festival.
Two striking centerpiece murals in black and white are the focal points in the bar and lounge, that together illustrate an unbiased tableau of the biggest rock sensations in Coachella Valley history. Wrapping around the club’s interior are the smaller, more personal supporting photos of performances past. Among them is a spectacular shot of aging poet rocker Leonard Cohen.
